The Systems Analyst Requirements:
- 7-10 years of senior systems analysis experience;
- Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with limited supervision;
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize along critical path and meet critical milestones and deliverable dates;
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with other teams;
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex information, applying logical reasoning and sound technical and/or business knowledge;
- Demonstrated ability to understand highly complex data structures across multiple systems and develop a consolidated, holistic understanding of how the data and functionality of the systems interact;
- Demonstrated ability to grasp complex concepts, and guide the activities of system and subject matter experts on solutions and optional technical approaches;
- Demonstrated ability to work with developers to explain / communicate specifications / data mappings;

Skills Requirements
Mandatory:

- 10+ years experience in a lead systems analyst role;

- Experience with Cúram framework;

- Experience with DB2 (mainframe),

- Experience building large scale, complex, interdependent systems;

- Experience in ASP, HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, VB.NET;

- Experience with the deployment of COM+ components in a Windows server environment;

- Experience with N-tier application architecture;

- Familiarity with underlying network infrastructures and communication protocols;

- Design or architecture experience.

- Experience/knowledge of WorkSafeBC production systems (i.e.: CMS)

- WorkSafeBC Development Methodology experience;

- Understanding of Powerbuilder, VisualAge Generator and Web Sphere (Java) Applications.

Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Systems Development & Support, the Senior Systems Analyst will take on lead analyst roles in various development and support projects. The Systems Analyst will determine the root cause of problems, formulate and present viable solutions to internal customers and the support and project teams and they will ensure the issue/change is successfully resolved. They will coordinate and monitor the work activities of small teams of 3 to 5 people. In addition, this position will meet and liaise with internal customers and project teams on a regular basis to communicate status of changes and cross-project impacts.
