2009 Resourcing Trends in BC

According to the latest report of BC’s Human Resources Management Association regarding staffing challenges in BC, organizations are both downsizing and focusing on improving work processes.

In its second annual survey, findings show:

1.   Organization staffing levels to decrease by 39%;

2.   77% of organizations indicate their HR budgets will decline or remain flat;

Meanwhile, overall organizational revenue will decrease slightly, although some 33% of respondents anticipate revenue growth.

Looking for new and innovative ways to cut costs or maintain services is likely to be one of the major challenges for all organizations.

We expect that Information Technology professionals will continue to play a significant role in making organizations more effective.
