3 Months (Part time)

Our client is looking for 2 Test Specialists to participate in inception phase of a critical project. The Specialists will be engaged at a part-time basis (20% allocation) for duration of up to 3 months starting at mid or late July. The technical tests specialist’s focus will be on all testing methods and practices generally applied in the complete end to end testing of software prior to release for business testing. The business test specialist’s focus will be on all testing methods and practices generally applied in the usability and user acceptance testing of software after the release from development and prior to transition to the operational user.

• Information Management; - the ability to take unstructured information and organize this information into a form that enables communication for an agreed purpose - e.g. decision support.
• Research; - the gathering, filtering, compiling and communication of information on specific topics, typically from an external source.
• Modeling; - the creation of abstract representations that illustrate the Project Design; - the ability to define key work tasks, requirements for the conductance of those tasks, the sequence and dependencies between tasks and the schedule for task delivery.
• Communication – written, verbal and visual; - the ability to impart knowledge to stakeholders and gain their understanding, verification and validation of that knowledge for a specific purpose.
• Technical test specialist; - strong knowledge of all aspects of technical testing processes as well as the logistical and infrastructural needs to support testing operations.
• Business test specialist; - strong knowledge of all aspects of user acceptance testing processes as well as the logistical and infrastructural needs to support testing operations.

Working with the Business Analyst (BA),

• Provide industry knowledge and best practice knowledge of the relevant testing domain area to enable the BA to derive the base line feature set.
• Support the identification of delivery options for base line features including infrastructural needs.
• Estimate work effort and resource/capacity requirements.
• Contribute to the definition of proposed investment scope.
• Support the review, negotiation and definition of investment scope with stakeholders.
• Identify and provide KPIs for testing models.
• Provide industry knowledge that contributes to the rationale needed for the business case.
