Work Summary:
This position extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team that is building a unique application.
Skills:
- 5 - 10 years of software marketing/product management experience
- Computer Science or Engineering degree (coupled with an MBA is a strong plus)
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills are essential
- Effective communication and negotiating skills
- Strong individual contributor and team player
- Solid Real Estate industry knowledge is a strong plus
- Experience with large scale web based applications provided in a subscription model is a strong plus
Responsibilities:
- Define, manage and communicate the product roadmap including creating and executing a detailed product plan defining the evolution of the product over the next several releases
- Define and detail the business requirements and/or business case for each new product release
- Technical assessment of the product which includes on-going technology evaluation within the context of the competitive market and contractual constraints
- Perform on-going win/loss analysis to better understand the features that are required for improved sales success
- Be accountable for the profitability and the competitiveness of new product-related features
- Provide input and assistance to the development department with prioritization of ongoing enhancements and bug resolutions for existing products
- Assist in market research, comparative product evaluations, product market positioning and analysis of industrial trends
- Provide content to marketing for the creation of materials
- Communicate status and progress reports to all areas within the organization, and to external stakeholders
- Manage change requests and negotiate impacts to schedules and/or costs
